It is important that all groups in our society are respected and treated equally. It is also important that we do all we can to protect women from prowlers. We can accomplish both. It helps because they have nothing to do with each other.

We cannot justify curtailing transgender rights because it is hard to explain to children. No one likes the birds and bees conversation either; it doesn’t mean we should stop having sex.

It is okay for parents to fear for their children’s safety and mental health. However, we should not let that fear corrupt our morality.

We’re suppose to tolerate a man walking into all public facilities. Not just bathrooms here. Where there are at least stalls and doors to insure privacy.
This proposed ordinance means to allow anyone, ANYONE, who dresses the opposite of their physical gender, access to showers, locker rooms in public gyms, dressing rooms in clothing retailers, and bathrooms too.

Not all gyms have private showers. Huge open rooms instead. Same with dressing rooms. And even if not, why should women have to suffer a man who dresses as a woman entry into a dressing room when that woman will be in various stages of undress?

Talk about the perfect predatory environment! It is a criminals dream come true.

Voyeurs that already are in the news taking up-skirt photos using shoe camera’s and then loading those images on the net. Toilet camera’s that film people using the facilities because there are sick fetishists on the net who love that stuff.

And now this! Trespassing on women because someone dresses the part when they’re a man. Because no woman who “feels” like a man is going to risk walking into men’s private facilities while expecting to disrobe and not be harassed for it. Or worse.

This ordinance promises trespass on women only!

And do the legwork, or finger work as the case may be, and research how many rapists and other offenders are in the news having cross-dressed as a disguise so as to perpetrate their offense against women.

A serial rapist in one news report in one state is being hunted because he dresses like a woman and attacks women in the bathroom. The perfect disguise. Who knows what “He” actually looks like? He dresses like a woman in order to rape women!

When the criminal element hears about this ordinance passing into law, if it does, they’ll be over the moon! Now they can dress the part, stalk women victims while dressed as a woman, and get away with the perfect disguise because all they have to do later is take off the outfit that made them look female in the commission of their crime, return to their male identity, and no one will know they’re a cross dressing rapist!
Not even surveillance cameras outside the facility where they attacked their victim will be able to ID their actual sex. Because they “look like” a woman!

And what happens to those laws that prosecute indecent exposure?
Tinkle out of doors and if a cop sees you, but see’s nothing else about you, they’ll bust you for indecently exposing yourself.

Here, this mayor wants to pass an ordinance that allows indecent exposure for a special class of people, so they can violate the privacy and safety of one group of people. WOMEN!

And this ordinance shows how little this mayor cares about the majority of Houstonians. Because it specifically states that businesses do not have to construct any new facilities, not even install walls in the case of a wide open shower room, in order to be in compliance!

Imagine! Your child is in the shower at the YMCA after her swim class is over and there comes a man who thinks he has a female inside him and he expects to shower right there in the open shower area with your 8 year old child.

And that man is suppose to be a woman inside? How confusing is that to a child?

What this law would do is allow fully intact grown men to go into the women’s restroom. All they have to do to qualify as transgender is to say they feel as if they are the other gender. Then, society’s supposed to just accept that and pretend they’re no different from any other member of that gender.

It doesn’t work that way! Putting on a dress and speaking in a falsetto doesn’t make you a woman.

Shouldn’t the public know which businesses are operated by assholes, and therefore have the ability to avoid them?
