I Dream Too Much
Writer and director Katie Cokinos will present her new film I Dream Too Much at the River Oaks Theatre on Tuesday night.
Cokinos has been active in filmmaking in Houston and Austin over the last couple of decades. Her past positions include working at SWAMP from 1986 through 1990, and many location management duties for feature films shot in and around Austin. Cokinos also managed the Austin Film Society from 1990 through 1995.
I Dream Too Much follows an imaginative recent college grad who finds herself taking care of her reclusive aunt in upstate New York. The coming-of-age film, which stars Eden Brolin and Diane Ladd, explores inter-generational dynamics. Eden is the daughter of Josh Brolin and definitely has the acting gene, and Richard Linklater serves as executive producer. The film will roll out on iTunes and OnDemand starting June 21.
The screening of I Dream Too Much takes place Tuesday, June 14 at 7 pm.
