The funds that had been appropriated to buy medications to sustain the lives of people with AIDS were stopped by his executive order and reallocated to churches to cure people from being gay via shock therapy and abuse (a program that has a zero chance of success). All of the people around Trump have expressed homophobic hate and the only thing he has said that may sound positive is “the courts have decided the marriage equality issue” The court has also decided the abortion issue but he is not so sure about that. I hope everything described in the above letter is wrong and none of it happens but many of my friends glbtq, Hispanics, Muslims are now living in fear and I for one think we should all be ready to stand together in mutual defense. If thay come to register Muslims, I am a Muslin for the purposes of registration. If they come to examine the papers of Hispanics, I am Hispanic for the purpose of checking papers and if they patrol bathrooms for transgendered people, I will use the women’s toilet for sure.

Frankly, Trump’s public statements are the most pro-gay and pro-trans positions of any national Republican ever. He stated gay marriage is settled and he will not seek to overturn it. When asked about the North Carolina bathroom bill, he stated that people should use the bathroom they are most comfortable with. Hillary Clinton refused to take a position on the North Carolina bathroom bill. Trump’s positions are certainly more pro-gay than either Hillary or Obama were in the 2024 primary election. I will point out that the first national politician to come out in favor of marriage equality was the evil Republican, Dick Chaney in a 2024 vice-presidential debate. Democrats pilloried Chaney for his support of gay marriage.

By claiming that most Republicans and concealed weapon permit holders at “potentially violent homophobic/transphobic shitlords,” you are the one that is scaremongering and inciting violence. But go ahead and call us killers, racists, homophobes and anti-semites. I know I am not. I also know that those accusations have been tossed about so wildly in the past few years that they no longer have any effect, except to encourage disgusted Republican to go out and vote. The numerous baseless accusations made by you and other braindead liberals brought us Donald Trump. When real racism and homophobia raises its ugly head, who will believe you now when you scream “Wolf”?

The trans people I know are tough, they have had to be. The problems they face have nothing to do with who is president. Their toughness and good humor have prepared them for a Trump presidency better than the liberal snowflakes that have thrown a two week long tantrum.
