That’s a good point, although the comparison to Native Americans might actually be applicable, but dinosaurs were rendered extinct by non-human forces long before human civilization, so that’s a bit of a stretch.

Still, I don’t see a bar or any business in the former 4th Ward (now Midtown) that bars entry to Native American people, so, on the level of adding insult to injury by gentrifying a people out of a neighborhood and then denying entry to others of their race, that comparison falls short, too.

Nice try, though. I noticed your name is Ramirez — do you come from a long line of people who have been so beat down that they gladly accept their marginalization, or are you the first submissive in your family?

It may vary by night, but many nights they are engaged in a racist door policy that charges minority men only. I observed it happening over and over. You can hit up Yelp to see many more such examples.

Jeff, I don’t think you read the article. It doesn’t say blacks are barred. It says they’re charged. Pictures of black people in the bar proves nothing.

And I’ve stood outside the bar and watched it happen, over and over.
