In the minds of the majority of Trump voters, they won – and that’s all that matters. Asking for forgiveness isn’t going to change the reality of the situation. I know a lot of Trump voters who live in my area, and most of them won’t even speak to me, because they know how much I dislike (and constantly criticize, and make fun of) Trump. I won’t stop, because to me, silence is the same as acceptance, and from there it’s just one short step to support. If anything, these people are waiting for me to ask them for forgiveness, and that would be worse yet…..that would be a sign that I’m now on their side. I can tolerate Trump because I have to, but I don’t accept him, and I will never – ever – support him.
