This is libel, pure and simple.

"There's photos to prove it.", where There's is a contraction of There Is. But since the object is plural :

There is a photo.
There's a photo.
There are photos.

What is the deal with the dash? Or is that a double-hyphen? Is that to be used in place of an ellipsis? Rocking it for a modifying adjective is great, as you did in the three-piece-suit, but there are at least ten uses of, and I checked my copy of the AP Book of Style just to be sure, and if it is a dash, it is used more than ten times in the article to convey a change of tone. And yes, there are double-hyphens scattered about.

A few days later, she went to the bank on a work errand and her cornered her again.

I'll just leave that one alone.

Do "elected representatives" really need to be in quotes. She lives there. That is where they represent.

Is the technology for zer0-discharge, and zero-discharge different? If so, how?

“When people ask me how I did it,” she says, “I tell them all they have to do is pick up the phone. You don’t need a 501(c)3 and grants and a grand plan. Just take the first step, and the road will rise up to meet you.

Don't like closing quotes? Writing is hard.

The answer is of course absolutely nothing other than the fact the its name is in the title. TDECU was started by DOW employees 60 years ago. The institution is a credit union and is owned by its members. DOW chemical has as much to do with TDECU as does NASA with the NASA Federal Credit Union.

The individual who wrote this article doesn't deserve the platform. It is poorly researched – to claim that DOW had anything to do with the disaster in Bhopol is total BS. The disaster happened in 1984 at a Union Carbide plant.

DOW Chemical did not buy Union Carbide until 1999

It's downright false. Dow did not own Union Carbide when the disaster occurred, and to bring the University of Houston into this is just flat ridiculous. Furthermore, Texas Dow Employee Credit Union is owned by its members (some of which are Dow employees, some of which are not) and not Dow Chemical.

The liabilities of the disaster are now owned by the Indian government and Eveready.

It could have been titled better but it's still a good critical assessment of UH deal.
