After winning 3-1 at home in the first leg, in Houston the Dynamo only had to at least draw or hold United to one goal in the second leg. The Texans travelled to Chicago to battle the one loss Bears, while the Dynamo hosted DC United in the Eastern Conference Finals of the MLS Playoffs. And what a day it was! After taking a week off for their bye week, the Texans were back Sunday to host the 3-4 Buffalo Bills. Poor Buffalo, it’s so damn cold, and they’ve been so mediocre/bad for so long. The Buffalo fans were a nice bunch though. Very friendly and humble. Hello, again. We start this sport brief with Football (soccer) and the Houston Dynamo, who have qualified for the Major League Soccer playoffs in the Eastern Conference. With their 3-1 defeat over the Philadelphia Union last Saturday, they now have a standing spot in the playoffs and only one road game left in the season. On their annual Battle Red Day,The Texans dominated the 5-1 Ravens to take sole possession of first place in the AFC. The Packers got out to an early 14-0 lead and never looked back as Aaron Rodgers threw six, I repeat, SIX whopping touchdowns to lead his team to a 42-24 victory. This past Saturday night in Houston at the BBVA Compass Stadium, the Dynamo played the Montreal Impact to a 1-1 draw. Will Bruin scored the first goal for the Dynamo before halftime but Montreal’s Sanna Nyassi evened the score midway during the second half. Houston remains in fifth place with two games left in the season with a 13-8-11, 50 points in the Eastern Conference.
