OKRA Thanksgiving Week

There are no excuses for anyone missing out on good food next week, and if you visit Grand Prize Bar, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy food from many local restaurants. It isn’t just the spirit of the holidays that has Grand Prize hosting a slew of chefs, but also to help raise money to support the Original OKRA Charity Saloon.

All food sales go directly to supporting the Charity Saloon. Each day of next week, there will be a new chef from a local restaurant, for six days straight. The food festivities begin on Monday, and will end on Saturday.

On Monday, you’ll be able to enjoy the cuisine of Paul Petronella, of Paulie’s.
On Tuesday, Justin Yu of Oxheart. On Wednesday, Chris Shepherd of Underbelly.
Thursday, Josh Martinex of The Modular, and on Friday Antoine Ware of Hay Merchant.
Finally, on Saturday, Justin Basye of Pappas & Adam Dorris of Revival Market will be representing.

Needless to say, there are a lot of options to chose from. It might be difficult to pick a day, so why not just go everyday? That way, you can taste what Houston has to offer, and support a good cause.

The event will begin on November 19th, on Monday, around 4pm and will end November 25th at 2am.  The start time each day, I assume, will begin around 4pm each day, and end at closing time for Grand Prize. Fortunately, that leaves plenty of time to fill up on good food, and even have a drink while you are there. Come out and support, Houston!
