When you’ve been a rock band as long as Houston’s Another Run has, you’re always up for a challenge. After returning last year with the stellar EP, Be Honest, and before tracking the follow up to it this fall, the band visited Kenny Matthew Gardner and Allan Davis at Murder On Tape Audio to lay down a single in the interim. The song, titled “700 Days,” finds the band in a mix of what they brought to the table with their EP last year and hints of those groovy jams they made on 2024’s I’ll Be There, ultimately offering up a jam that’s worthy of their namesake and worth putting in your ears.

The strong point of this band has always been their ability to sneak pop hooks into their tunes.  The opening of the song creeps on while singer Adrian Grammer softly slips these catchy notes in vocally. When things pick up, that dual guitar sound that the band has become known for finds it’s way onto the track.  There’s a nice groove that they cultivate before Grammer is back at it with those sweetly executed vocals.  The chorus really sticks to you like glazed BBQ sauce to ribs while things pop and snap with the riff-heavy intensity that the band has really crafted to be their signature sound.  The best part of this track is that it really showcases the band’s ability to drop another rager mixed with pop hooks that catch your ears and hold onto them from start to finish.

The song, found exclusively here, is just another example of how strong the band has become over the years.  You can hear the song performed live when Another Run performs at Madness On Main Street Festival on May 7 and 8.  The 21 and up event has doors at 4 pm and tickets between $15 and $25 with more information available here.
