Any Texas State student could tell you that the San Marcos River is the reason San Marcos stands out from the desolate wasteland that is Lubbock. It gives students a reason to be outside when it’s 80 plus degrees, it fosters a sense of community among diverse groups of people, and it motivates locals to be environmentally conscious. It makes sense that Marcus Federman chose the San Marcos River to host Float Fest 2024. On August 31st, in what could be San Marcos’s signature event, Marcus will do the unthinkable, combining floating, live music, food, and alcohol from 11:00am to 11:00pm. Tickets can be purchased online or at Cool River Ranch.
