In the New Wave of Houston Heavy Metal news, Peasant is releasing a record entitled “Go to Hell.” Since anything that incorporates denim and leather has always caught my eye I was drawn to it like flies on a corpse.

I have seen Peasant play since they started, and their current line up is unstoppable. If you haven’t heard them before, the easiest reference is Venom/Midnight. But their new record goes beyond just saying they sound like those bands. Theirs is a new wave of British heavy metal, ripping rock solos, great guitar melodies, and CJ really brings it all together with the vocal phrasing.

“Go to Hell” is 13 tracks, a great blend of songs, that all go together and change style slightly. Seriously go pick up the record and what way easier to do that than go see them at their release show. Limited edition green vinyl will be available at the show (which will sell out), so if you don’t go you really will miss out.

Also on the bill is Oath Of Cruelty (Which always slay!), Bloody Phoenix and Malevolent Force.

All this for only $5. Fucking go.
