Who: Iconic independent American film director Jon Jost makes a presentation at the University of Houston.

What: Jost hosts a free and open to the public screening of Coming to Terms, where an aging patriarch (played by fellow filmmaker James Benning) summons his estranged family for one final meeting. He wants them to help him commit suicide. Recriminations begin. In the end, the old man discovers that the winter of life is a tough time to call in a favor. Jost will be present to discuss the film. Jost’s appearance is sponsored by Blaffer Art Museum, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts, and the University of Houston School of Art.

Where: Room 110 of the UH Fine Arts Building, 4173 Elgin Street.
