Houston’s art scene offers everything from the classics to street art. With this art landscape blossoming, ArtHouston has planned their 2024 summer event to showcase the art of Houston to the people of Houston.
The event features 30 participating fine art galleries that are spread across the Museum district, Midtown and the Heights. And starting tonight, July 12th and tomorrow, July 13th the galleries will open to the public. Open houses and receptions at the various venues will introduce the start of what is expected to be “the busiest weekend of the art season,” according to ArtHouston.
Art from all mediums and even mixed media will be on display—ranging from drawings and paintings to sculpture. The exhibits will highlight the works of emerging local artists, as well as reputable artists from across the globe.
Food trucks will help drive this occasion with a variety of delicious eats! To compliment your food of choice, refreshments will be provided by ArtHouston’s beer sponsors, Austin-based Adelbert’s Brewery. They’ll serve their very own hand-crafted Belgian-style beers in the Colquitt area of Houston.
