Another summer, another H-Town Sneaker Summit. The biannual event is the largest community based sneaker convention in the world. Sneaker lovers are invited to “buy, sell, trade, display, browse and discuss rare and fashionable sneakers, clothing and accessories in a large party atmosphere,” according to the event website.
The event is one worth throwing on your favorite kicks for. It made it onto Complex’s list of “50 moments that changed sneaker culture forever.” With nearly 5,000 expected attendees, there will be no shortage of shoes. And attracting people from all backgrounds across Houston and the world, there will be plenty of people watching.
Celebrities, musicians and other special guests will make their appearances. Throw in a little music by Houston’s best DJ’s and you know you’re attending a real H-town party.
The festival kicked off in local sports bars, but quickly outgrew the spaces. After a move from Houston clubs to the Toyota Center, this year the event will be held at Reliant Stadium. The Sneaker summit was the first sneaker and fashion event to be held in a professional sports arena.
Tickets to the event are on sale on the H-Town Sneaker Summit website and participating local outlets, as well as at the box office on the day of the event.
