This weekend a couple of premieres will feature performers in attendance.

Friday May 14 the music documentary A Surprise in Texas will present Jade Simmons who hosts the yearly webcast of the film’s subject the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Simmons will answer questions about the film and event following the 7:45 screening at the Angelika Film Center.

On Saturday May 15 the film LA Mission will present Benjamin Bratt (star and producer) and Peter Bratt (director) for a Q&A at theses area theaters: 1:00 pm – Willowbrook; 2:00 pm – Deerbrook; 3:30 pm – First Colony; 7:00 pm –Studio 30; 8:00 pm - Angelika; and 9:00 pm - Gulf Point. Quite the whirlwind tour of Houston.
