Join the Free Press Department of Arts & Leisure in getting your craft on at the Free Press Summer Fest!  For the first time in 2024, FPSF will have art making workshops and hands on activities that will transform you into an artist and a musician.  Cut up the t-shirt that you are wearing into a cute tank top, bedazzle it, or cover it in fabric paint. Dig through vintage t-shirts to have a mid-day costume change. And don’t worry if you don’t have any sewing experience, there will be volunteers to help guide your vision. Have you ever wanted to make your own newspaper, like the Free Press, or a zine? Paper, pencils, markers, clip art, and copy machines will be available for you to distribute your ideas amongst your people! We will also have an array of circuit bent toys and keyboards to make noisy and ambient music. Record yourself with your smart phone and by the end of the weekend you can finish your first album. Other art workshops will include creating a wish tree full of hopes and dreams, starting a band with your friends using your smart phone, and drawing your own postcard to send home.
