About Cactus Music and The Record Ranch Gallery
Cactus Music, the Bayou City’s premier music store, re-opened in a new storefront in November 2024 to the delight of Houston’s music fans. The new 5,800 square foot location at 2110 Portsmouth and S. Shepherd continues a 30-year history of offering an extensive selection of recorded music, hard-to-find DVDs and music-related gifts and products. Cactus Music also showcases local, regional and national talent on its stage with weekly in-store performances. “These events provide a special opportunity to experience an intimate musical performance, and meet-and-greet with the artists,” says Quinn Bishop, owner. Located inside the new Cactus Music is The Record Ranch, an 1,800 square-foot store and art gallery offering a unique shopping experience for vinyl customers. In addition to thousands of new and used records, The Record Ranch Gallery presents exhibits featuring music-related artwork. “We have dedicated this space for artists to exhibit their music-related work and believe it also enhances the experience for our customers,” says Bishop. Cactus Music is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and Noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, call 713.526.9272
pretty fucking sweet
No, this is horrible.. let’s go ahead rename the event “ghetto-fest”.
Where can I go to get a refund?
No, no it’s not.
Yuss! Top notch hoes get the most not the lesser,
Hey Johnny - if you think a total of 3 hip hop headliners amongst a dozen indie rock bands makes this a ‘ Ghetto Fest’ then you should do some self evaluation and explore how much you really are afraid of African Americans. Don’t be afraid, they do not bite. Also, if it helps, we can place you in a Whites Only area during Bun’s set and put headphones on you playing Air Supply during his set. Cheers!
why would anyone ask for refund, evenif u dont like the additions? acts were added not removed. 3 stages? cmon, if u dont like one band walk to the other stage. what a d-bag
Sweet The Entrance Band and The Growlers got added!!! Could the people you do the times change them from playing at the same time!!!, these bands draw the same people probably
Will the Air Supply tent only be available to the high rollers?
How do I get in on this action?
I don’t think this is a horrible addition, but you guys should consider booking Voxtrot. Their farewell tour brings them to Austin the day before. There are alot of people (myself included) who would like to see them one last time.
Voxtrot played last year…
a lot of this years line up played last year too, so….
i heard another houston hip hop artist was added, ODDISCEE! but he’s fu*king badass, he rocks out on his guitar…..
