Giant Princess whores it up with TMobile
Oh those lovable scamps at Giant Princess. They make great music, they put on great shows, and - like any respectable stock car racer - these guys need a sponsor. Yes, we’ve noticed the sad shape of the Princess-mobile. It’s paint job bereft of logos. It hurts when you see the other band cars with all those logos. Robert Ellis has that huge one Miller on across his, Lucas Gorham got his chik-fil-a, and Beau Beasely is set for life on lube and leather products. All worthy corporate shills, but GP has been overlooked by corporate America…until now.
It appears that T-Mobile has given them a shot at joining the ranks of corporate funded rock-and-roll. Yes, right now they are competing is some sort of death match with 8 other bands ( that’s 8 crappy bands from crappy cities with crappy fans and dial-up Internet). Here is the pitch from the band. You know what to do.
Giant Princess is being sponsored by T-Mobile’s newest phone release, the Sidekick 4G. The band automatically gets $1000 cash, each member a new sidekick 4g phone, and 10 fans will be eligible to win one sidekick 4g from the band’s Facebook page at facebook.com/giantprincess. The sponsorship consists of Giant Princess playing an upcoming battle of the bands contest on April 21st for Samsungs Sidekick 4g Release. They are up against 8 other bands from around the US to win $35,000 dollars worth of recording time/ band promotions. The Venue will be announced soon but will not be made public. During the performance a select group of fans will be encouraged to record the show and post up soon after.
After that, the winner will be chosen May 1st and determined by which band is most creative in spreading the word about the new Sidekick 4G, plus T-Mobile & Samsung’s efforts at helping independent artists with the contest. Improve Houston’s, Giant Princess chances of winning by going to www.facebook.com/Sidekick4G” or voting for them by tagging Giant Princess and #SK4G on Twitter and Facebook.
my #sidekick 4G is fucking SICK
