A unique film event unspools at the Rice Media Center Tuesday, September 13, starting at 6:30 pm. The Green Film Series: StreetFilm Collection presents short films “that show how smart transportation design and policy can result in better places to live, work and play.”

A meet and greet precedes the films followed by a panel discussion. Admission is free, albeit a $5 donation is requested. Sponsors include the Rice University Environmental Club, Houston Tomorrow, Transition Houston, and the USGBC Emerging Professionals-Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Panel speakers are Zakcq Lockrem (Citizens’ Transportation Coalition); Darren Sabom (Bike Houston); Christina Hughes (Baker College, Rice University); Tom Dornbusch (Super Neighborhood 22); and the event host is Jay Blazek Crossley of Houston Tomorrow.
