Mildred’s Umbrella Theater Company Presents Two Shorts
Mildred’s Umbrella Theater Company and Obsidian Art Space will present two short plays on two separate weekends in August. The featured PG-13 plays have been seeded out of more than 200 nationwide submissions in this year alone– they are the best of the best.
This showcase of shorts, “Museum of Dysfunction V” and “The Scarecrow and the Sparrow,” will be featured in Studio 101 of Spring Street Studios in the Heights and are directed and produced by members of Mildred’s Umbrella Theater Company.
The cost to see the plays is pay as you can, and the shows will run on two separate weekends: August 9-11 and August 16-18. The Museum of Dysfunction V will play August 9-11 (group I) and August 16-18 (group II) at 8pm. The Scarecrow and the Sparrow will be performed on August 11 and August 18 at 2pm.
In addition to the Museum of Dysfunction V, a children’s production, “What I See,” will commence on the Saturday afternoons of the run. This production is 45 minutes long and is also a pay as you can performance for elementary aged children– a perfect opportunity to get the kids out of the house for some quality family time.
