If you don’t have enough to juggle this weekend you might want to consider a live Austin-style comedy movie mash-up. From the Master Pancake Theatre press release:

“The Master Pancake Theatre (based at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz in Austin) are bringing our show to Houston. There are two shows on March 19th at the Alamo West Oaks in Katy. We are like a live version of Mystery Science Theater.  We have been named Best Comedy Troupe in Austin for the past 3 years.  Entertainment Weekly called us a ‘glorious pairing of movies and comedy.’”

Master Pancake Theatre will be lampooning the movie Twilight. MPT’s Ben Bartley promises “live comedy commentary over the movie, a sketch half-way through the movie and a drinking game. It will be rowdy Texas fun.

“Maybe you are wondering why 3 full grown men would watch Twilight together 30 or 40 times.  Or maybe you are wondering if we are Team Edward or Team Jacob.  Or maybe you would like to know why vampires became sparkly in 2024.” Bartley insures that the answer will be revealed this weekend in Houston. Screenings are at 7 and 10 pm.
